Audience of Memory 2018 Concert Tour Donated Nearly 4800 Euros to Cancer Patients
The Gift of Life Cancer Treatment Foundation raised donations during the Vanemuine Theatre's concert tour Memory, doing it for the fourth year in a row. This time the audience raised nearly 4800 euros for the foundation.
Volunteers of the foundation toured with the Vanemuine Theatre's orchestra and musical artists all over Estonia in January, participating in seven concerts in Tartu, Tallinn, Jõhvi, Pärnu and Paide. During the break, the audience was able to donate cash or by bankcard to support cancer patients.
"We would like to thank the Vanemuine Theatre for their kind reception, all the musicians and artists for creating a lovely atmosphere, and the concert's host, Hannes Võrno, for his full support," said Katrin Kuusemäe, the CEO of the cancer treatment foundation. "We would also like to extend our thanks to our volunteers and every one of our donors, whose contributions help us give hope and longer life to cancer patients."
This January the cancer treatment foundation lent a helping hand to more than ten people. One of them, a mother named Maily Luberg, is fighting blood cancer, while Kristi Natus, also a mother, is fighting brain cancer. The foundation also continues to fund the treatment of 7-year old Annabel and dozens of other people who rely on the foundation.
The cancer treatment foundation kindly asks all people in Estonia to support cancer patients' fight for their lives with a regular donation. As before, it is the foundation's purpose that in 2018 no people in need be left without an additional chance – without a chance to try out the best treatment, live longer, or even recover.
